Heart2Heart Challenge for the healthy heart has kickstarted as over 700 people have already taken the challenge: JB Pharma




Experts encourage people to increase adoption of stair climbing for cardiovascular fitness as studies suggest

Mumbai (APN): Toeing the theme of World Heart Day 2022 – ‘Cardiovascular Health for Everyone’, India is taking Heart2Heart Challenge for a healthy heart – a unique physical activity campaign to inculcate the healthy habit of checking whether one’s heart is healthy or not by climbing 4 floors (60 steps) because a study published in Rev Esp Cardiol (Engl Ed) [1] reveals so.

 

The study further reveals that by climbing stairs one can check one’s heart health as failing to climb 4 floors (60 steps) in one-and-a-half minutes is a sign of sub-optimal heart function.

 

By taking the Heart2Heart Challenge for Healthy Heart, one needs to climb 4 floors i.e., 40 feet in a minute, and if 726 people take this challenge, then the height of Mount Everest (29028.9 feet) in a minute can be climbed. And the height of Mount Everest has been already climbed as over 700 people have taken this challenge.


In the opinion of Dr Ajay Mahajan, Prof & Head of Cardiology at KEM Hospital, Mumbai, “Coronary Artery Diseases (CAD) occur in the younger population of India as compared to the western world. The average age of heart attack is 56 years & about 30% occur at the age of fewer than 40 years. This is a decade earlier than the western world. The urban & semi-urban areas have 80% of these heart attacks. Fuelling the rise of coronary artery disease is the fact that 16% worldwide diabetics reside in India making it the infamous diabetic capital of the world.”

Dr Mahajan further added, “The overall mortality of heart attacks of 13% and it is higher in women than the men. Compounding problems is the fact that sudden cardiac death occurs for 10% of are in age groups less than 40%. This leads to a loss of productivity and has a profound socioeconomic impact. A large-scale primary prevention initiative dealing with lifestyle changes of regular exercise, consumption of a balanced and healthy diet and tobacco cessation. Training of personnel in resuscitation is also needed. To spread awareness, the Heart 2 Heart campaign Healthy Heart challenge is the need of the hour.”

 

By taking the Heart2Heart Challenge – Doing it yourself (DIY), Indian youth – who are succumbing to cardiac arrest, and middle-aged people will be able to take preventive measures to resist heart risks in future. 

 

“India is anticipated to have the world's greatest number of cardiac deaths by 2030, with Cardio Vascular Deaths accounting for roughly every fourth death. High blood pressure (BP) is a common risk factor for cardiovascular disease. 42% of Indians with hypertension don't know that their blood pressure is higher than normal. Heart attack and stroke account for 85 % of CVD-related mortality. One of the leading behavioural risk factors are physical inactivity and lack of exercise. Hence, climbing stairs is one of the many forms of exercise that has been scientifically proven to be beneficial for one's heart. The stair climbing test is an easy way to check one’s heart health at no cost. The Heart2Heart campaign is an initiative that needs to be propagated in India to prevent future cardiac problems,” stated Dr Jamshed J Dalal, Director, Centre for Cardiac Sciences, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Medical Research Institute, Mumbai.

Third, in the campaign, the simplest methods of BP measurement (BP Right Karo) have been listed because hypertension is a ‘silent killer. मुंबई महानगरी ने देखी एक अभूतपूर्व और आदर्श महारथयात्रा

२७ सितम्बर (APN): मुंबई नगरी में आज तक यात्राएं तो काफी निकली, लेकिन जिस रथयात्रा को 'अभूतपूर्व' और 'आदर्श' ऐसे शब्दों से नवाजा जा सके ,ऐसी महारथयात्रा दिनांक २५ सितम्बर को हर्षोल्लास के साथ निकली थी.

जैन आगमादि धर्म शास्त्रों और उसका अनुकरण करने वाले सामाचारी के अनुसार आराधना करने वाले- कराने वाले भिवंडी से भायखला और नालासोपारा से वालकेश्वर तक के जैन संघ और समस्त संघ के आराधकों के सामूहिक  आयोजन में कुदरत ने भी जो साथ -सहयोग दिया, उसे प्रभु कृपा का चमत्कार ही मानना पड़ेगा. इस महारथयात्रा की एक- एक विशेषता का यदि वर्णन हो तो पन्नों के पन्ने भर जाय संक्षेप में कहना हो तो ऐसा कहा जा सकता है कि इस महारथयात्रा में सब कुछ  विशेष था. विशेषताओं का महामेला भरा था. इस महारथयात्रा मे लगभग डेढ़ किलोमीटर के क्षेत्र में फैली हुई इस महायात्रा की शोभा को देखने के लिए भारतभर से और मुंबई के उपनगरों में से जो जनसागर उमटा था, उसके सामने अरब सागर भी वामन लगता था और मुंबई के महामार्ग भी संकरे साबित हुए थे.

इस महारथयात्रा में पाठशाला के हजारों विद्यार्थियों ने जो  उत्साह दिखाया था, हजारों युवा जिस उत्साह से नाचे थे और हजारों प्रौढ़  और वृद्धों ने अपनी उपस्थिति से इस रथयात्रा की जो शोभा बढ़ाई थी, उसकी तो बात ही नहीं की जा सकती.

इस महारथयात्रा में पू.आ.श्री विजयसिद्धिसूरीश्वरजी. म. सा., पू. आ.श्री विजय शांतिचंद्र सूरीश्वरजी.म.सा, पू,आ. श्री.विजय शांतिचंद्रसूरीश्वरजी.म.सा. और पू.आ.श्री.विजयअमृतसूरीश्वरजी.म.सा. इन 4 समुदायों के जिनाज्ञाप्रिय अनुयायियों की बड़ी संख्या में उपस्थिति ध्यानाकर्षक बनी थी.

तपागच्छ के सबसे सुविशाल 'सूरिरामचंद्र' समुदाय के महानायक पू.आ.भ.श्री विजयपुण्यपाल सूरीश्वरजी महाराजा के अपने स्वास्थ्य की नाजुक अवस्था में भी इस महारथयात्रा में निश्रा देने हेतु पधारने से सकल श्री संघ का उत्साह आसमान को लांग गया था. महाराष्ट्र के राज्यपाल श्री भगतसिंह कोश्यारी, कैबिनेट मंत्री श्री मंगलप्रभात लोढ़ा, एमएलए श्रीमती गीताबेन जैन तथा श्रीमती शायना एनसी आदि महानुभावों ने इस रथयात्रा के दर्शन कर धन्यता का अनुभव किया था. 

पू. गच्छाधिपतिश्री की आज्ञा -आशीर्वाद से 2 वर्ष पूर्व प्रवचन प्रभावक पू. आ. श्री विजय कीर्तियश सू. म. सा. की निश्रा में समूह रथयात्रा की सर्वप्रथम शुरुआत हुई थी. इस बार गच्छाधिपति पूज्यश्री की पुनीत निश्रा प्राप्त होने से सभी का भावोल्लास ऐसा वृद्धिगत बना कि अब हर वर्ष ऐसी समूह महारथयात्रा चढ़ते रंग के साथ आयोजित करने के मनोरथ में सकल संघ के जुड़ने से आगामी महारथयात्रा के दिन की घोषणा होने के साथ ही मुख्य लाभार्थी आदि के नाम भी दर्ज हो गए थे.

जैन धर्म के 22 वें तीर्थंकर श्री नेमिनाथ प्रभु के केवल ज्ञान कल्याणक दिन और महान जैनाचार्य श्री विजय महाबलसूरीश्वरजी म. सा. की छट्ठी पुण्यतिथि के दिन आयोजित यह महारथयात्रा मुंबई की जनता के लिए यादगार बन गई. रथ यात्रा के बाद मोतीशा लालबाग जैन संघ के उपाश्रय में धर्मसभा आयोजित होने से उस में गुरु भगवंतों के मार्मिक प्रवचन, दीक्षार्थियों का सम्मान, पाठशाला के विद्यार्थियों का सम्मान आदि संपन्न हुआ था.

उसके बाद हजारों साधर्मिकों  को बैठाकर आदर्श भोजन भक्ति का आयोजन किया गया था और शाम को चंदनबाला के श्री महावीरस्वामी जिनालय में अलौकिक महापूजा का आयोजन किया गया था. इसमें भी हजारों भाविकों  ने दर्शन का लाभ लेकर धन्यता का अनुभव किया था. जैन धर्म के मूलभूत सिद्धांतों एवं आदर्शों को ध्यान में रखकर उसके पालन के साथ मनाई गई यह महारथयात्रा वास्तव में आदर्शरूप बन गई थी.

MUMBAI, 1st SEPTEMBER, 2022 (APN): Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Limited (the “Bank”) will open its Initial Public Offering on Monday September 05, 2022. The total offer size of up to 15,840,000 Equity Shares of face value of ₹ 10 each comprising of fresh issue of up to 15,840,000 Equity Shares (the “Offer”).

The Price Band of the Offer has been fixed at ₹ 500 to ₹ 525 per Equity Share of face value ₹ 10 each. Bids can be made for a minimum of 28 Equity Shares and in multiples of 28 Equity Shares thereafter.

Bank proposes to utilise net proceeds of the fresh issue towards augmentation of Bank’s Tier-I capital base to meet Bank’s future capital requirements which are expected to arise out of growth in the Bank’s assets, primarily the Bank’s loans/advances and investment portfolio and to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements on capital adequacy prescribed by the Reserve Bank of India from time to time.

The Offer is being made through the book building process, in terms of Rule 19(2)(b) of the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Rules, 1957, as amended (“SCRR”) read with Regulation 31 of the SEBI ICDR Regulations and in compliance with Regulation 6(2) of the SEBI ICDR Regulations, wherein not less than 75 % of the Offer shall be allotted on a proportionate basis to Qualified Institutional Buyers (“QIBs”, the “QIB Portion”), provided that the Bank may, in consultation with the Book Running Lead Managers, allocate up to 60% of the QIB Portion to Anchor Investors on a discretionary basis in accordance with the SEBI ICDR Regulations (“Anchor Investor Portion”), of which one-third shall be reserved for domestic Mutual Funds, subject to valid Bids being received from domestic Mutual Funds at or above the Anchor Investor Allocation Price. In the event of under-subscription, or non-allocation in the Anchor Investor Portion, the balance Equity Shares shall be added to the Net QIB Portion.

Further, 5% of the Net QIB Portion shall be available for allocation on a proportionate basis only to Mutual Funds, and the remainder of the Net QIB Portion shall be available for allocation on a proportionate basis to all QIBs, including Mutual Funds, subject to valid Bids being received at or above the Offer Price. However, if the aggregate demand from Mutual Funds is less than 5% of the Net QIB Portion, the balance Equity Shares available for allocation in the Mutual Fund Portion will be added to the remaining Net QIB Portion for proportionate allocation to QIBs. 

Further, not more than 15% of the Offer shall be available for allocation to Non-Institutional Bidders (“Non-Institutional Portion”) of which one-third of the Non-Institutional Portion shall be available for allocation to Bidders with an application size of more than ₹ 200,000 and up to ₹ 1,000,000 and two-thirds of the Non-Institutional Portion shall be available for allocation to Bidders with an application size of more than ₹ 1,000,000 and under-subscription in either of these two sub-categories of Non-Institutional Portion may be allocated to Bidders in the other subcategory of Non-Institutional Portion in accordance with the SEBI ICDR Regulations, subject to valid Bids being received at or above the Offer Price.

 Further, not more than 10% of the Offer shall be available for allocation to Retail Individual Bidders (“Retail Portion”) in accordance with the SEBI ICDR Regulations, subject to valid Bids being received at or above the Offer Price. All potential Bidders (except Anchor Investors) are required to mandatorily utilise the Application Supported by Blocked Amount (“ASBA”) process providing details of their respective ASBA accounts, and UPI ID in case of UPI Bidders using the UPI Mechanism, if applicable, in which the corresponding Bid Amounts will be blocked by the SCSBs or by the Sponsor Bank under the UPI Mechanism, as the case may be, to the extent of respective Bid Amounts. Anchor Investors are not permitted to participate in the Offer through the ASBA process. 

The UPI Mandate acceptance time for Retail and NII bidders (bids up to  5,00,000) shall expire at 5:00 PM on the closing day of the IPO i.e., September 07, 2022.
